Lathe Department Lead - 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Lead the Lathe department on the 2nd shift, overseeing lathe production and CNC setup/operations. Assign machines and jobs to machinists, address production and quality concerns with supervisors and QA, supervise staff, troubleshoot setup and production issues, perform CNC setup as needed, provide training on machine operation, review employee performance, recognize high performers, and communicate productivity, quality, and delivery metrics. Responsible for safekeeping of parts and records, accurate daily documentation, compliance with Shop Traveler/ERP records, adherence to 5S and safety policies, coordination with Maintenance for preventive maintenance, and participation in continuous improvement efforts. Role requires mechanical aptitude, familiarity with CNC machining, multitasking, and strong problem-solving abilities; physical requirements include frequent movement and lifting as described in the job posting, and the position is safety-sensitive with post-offer drug screening and equal-opportunity employment statements. Required Qualifications
- Prior CNC Machining and Set-Up Experience
- Supervisory/leadership experience
- Mechanical background
- Problem-solving and attention to detail
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

- Knowledge of 5S and PPE safety requirements
