Lathe Department Lead - 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Oversee lathe production on the designated 2nd shift, assign machinists and staff, discuss performance and quality with supervisors and QA, supervise according to policies, troubleshoot during setup and production on CNC lathes, set up and produce parts as specified, proactively address production disruptions, train staff on operation and setup, review performance with documented appraisals, recognize good performance, communicate productivity/quality/delivery data for continuous improvement, unload/package parts to EIMCo standards, maintain accurate daily records in Shop Travelers and ERP, follow all documentation and blueprints, ensure quality and safety compliance, perform preventive maintenance, coordinate with Maintenance on scheduling, maintain clean 5S compliant work area, and perform other duties as assigned. This is a safety-sensitive manufacturing role with a 10-panel drug screening and equal opportunity employment.
Required Qualifications
- Mechanical background and machine operating experience
- Experience with CNC Machining and Set-Up
- Ability to train staff on machine operation and setup
- Knowledge of 5S and safety policies
- Ability to oversee production, supervise staff, and address quality and delivery concerns
- Willingness to participate in preventive maintenance and coordinate with Maintenance Department
- Proficiency with documentation including Shop Travelers and ERP entries
- Ability to review performance and provide documented feedback
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Safety-sensitive position with drug screening requirement
