Job Summary
Latent Print Examiner based in Forest Park, GA, supporting exploitation missions to CONUS and OCONUS locations. This full-time role requires travel and deployment to support mission requirements. Responsibilities include processing evidence to develop latent prints using laboratory procedures (cyanoacrylate fuming, fluorescent dye stains, powders in suspension, ninhydrin, indanedione), labeling and photographing prints, analyzing latents in Adobe Photoshop, comparing prints to known prints, documenting results in the WEAT database, annotating case files, interpreting results for forensic/intelligence exploitation, performing administrative and technical reviews of reports, maintaining chain of custody, mixing chemicals, and ensuring a clean laboratory environment. Minimum requirements include 1 year of independent forensic-lab experience with latent print processing/comparisons, ACE-V proficiency, Photoshop visualization, experience with AFIS/ABIS, and ability to obtain DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance, passport, and travel readiness.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) year of experience working independently in a forensic laboratory performing latent print processing and comparisons on criminal evidence and/or intelligence exploitation
- Processing of material for latent print recovery
- Thorough knowledge of ACE-V methodology
- Visualizing and evaluating latents with the use of Adobe Photoshop and other related software
- Proficiency utilizing national databases, such as AFIS and/or ABIS
- Experience in technical and administrative case file review
- Have 20/20 vision or correctable 20/20 vision with no detected color vision deficiencies
- Must be able to obtain a DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active US Passport
- Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS
- Must be able to complete and pass a medical assessment per customer requirements
