Job Summary
Perform major and minor repairs on Mercedes-Benz trucks, conducting regular inspections, preventive maintenance, wheel alignment, and tyre fitting. Diagnose faults and plan repairs with the team while maintaining workshop inventory and cleanliness. Complete customer documentation, manage warranty claims, and record vehicle repairs using Keyloop/Kerridge modules. Work the late shift from 12:30pm to 10:00pm, Monday through Friday, prioritizing tasks to meet time scales and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in Vehicle Repair and maintenance
- Experience in carrying out diagnostic and service repairs
- Ability to identify worn & faulty components in accordance with the DVSA Standards
- Current, full UK driving license for the relevant vehicle classes
- Resilience (strong coping skills)
- Motivation (key part of role and team player)
- Attention to Detail (precision in diagnosing issues and conducting repairs)
- Time Management (ability to prioritize and complete tasks within timeframes)
- Availability for late shifts (12:30pm to 10:00pm - Mon - Fri)
- Satisfactory completion of a DBS check
