Job Summary
Latchkey Supervisor at Elmwood Elementary School overseeing the after-school Latchkey program. Responsibilities include supervising site staff, ensuring program standards and safety, maintaining LARA-compliant records and billing documentation, managing daily operations, supervising children, evaluating staff performance, ensuring compliance with licensing and health/safety protocols, maintaining attendance and financial records, and communicating with families. Requires local eligibility in St. Clair Shores, MI, with in-person, on-site duties from 7:00 a.m. until school dismissal and after-school hours; compensation range $17.00–$19.89 per hour, 5–7 hours per day based on student need, with benefits per district agreement.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 19 years old at time of application.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- OR a minimum of 6 months of experience AND 6 semester hours, 9 CEUS, or a combination equal to 90clock hours of coursework in child care administration, early childhood education, child development, youth development, or a child-related field.
- OR a minimum of 3 months of experience AND a valid child development associate credential, Montessori credential, Michigan youth development or credential, or associate degree in a child-related field.
- OR an associate degree or higher in any field of study AND 15 clock hours of school-age training.
- Must be cleared by federal background check.
- Evidence of current Pediatric CPR/First Aid training.
- Willingness to adhere to and demonstrated compliance with all LARA licensing requirements which may include but is not limited to initial and annual Health and Safety training, 18 hours of professional development hours per year, etc.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and internet-based management platforms (e.g. FMX, Red Rover, etc.).
