Lasting Supervisor

Sequence work across pulling-over, toe, side, and heel lasting while setting machine parameters and verifying against the master sample. Control last inventory by counting, assessing condition, and managing the pull-and-return cycle to prevent schedule gates. Inspect lasted uppers for symmetry, toe spring, and wrinkling, rejecting defects before Bottoming. Manage heat and setting cycles to ensure shape retention, then train and certify new lasters while maintaining the department skill matrix. This role requires five years of hands-on lasting experience, machine troubleshooting, and inventory management on the production floor.
