Laser Weld Technician - Weekend C-Shift

Job Summary
Operate CNC and robotic laser welding systems for spaceflight hardware, read and interpret engineering drawings, and set up/adjust large-scale hardware for laser cutting and welding. Program and run CNC fiber laser equipment (machine control and offline software), jog/dry-run setups, and provide manufacturing feedback and process improvements to engineers and management. Role includes manual processes beyond robotics and requires staying aligned with safety protocols and the mission to support spaceflight production.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of laser welding and/or CNC laser or robotics experience
- Understanding of laser optics and processes such as cutting and welding, and part set up – including knowledge of laser safety practices
- Ability to set-up and precisely position large scale hardware
- Ability to troubleshoot program and/or machine issues
- Self-motivated with the ability to work within a team environment or independently as required
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, work in small/restricted areas, and lift up to 50 lbs
Additional Requirements
- U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
- Background Check Required for all positions: Blue’s Standard Background Check Required for Certain Job Profiles: Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) background check if at any time the role requires one to be on a military installation
- CDL drivers may be subject to additional requirements for hazardous materials and related regulations
