Job Summary
Operate a laser tracker to measure machines, fixtures, tooling, large assemblies, and complex structures in heavy manufacturing environments. Develop accurate inspection reports featuring written summaries, 3D visualizations, point cloud data, and dimensional tables while ensuring compliance with AS9100 procedures and safety standards. Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to resolve dimensional issues, coordinate measurement tasks, and support production schedules. Maintain equipment integrity through calibration and proper documentation, and participate in audits and continuous improvement activities. Requires minimum two years of experience with Faro, API, or Leica trackers and GD&T interpretation.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating Faro, API, or Leica laser trackers
- Minimum 2 years of experience with GD&T interpretation and blueprint reading
- Minimum 2 years of experience using Verisurf for inspection, analysis, and reporting
- High school diploma or GED
- Machine Tool Technology certificate or equivalent technical experience preferred
