Laser Operator

Job Summary
Operate and maintain laser, waterjet, shear, and saw machines to cut and shape metal components while interpreting blueprints and work orders for accurate setup. Load and unload materials using cranes, forklifts, or manually, and perform precision measurements on finished parts to ensure compliance. Conduct basic machine maintenance, report performance or safety issues, and assist with tagging, packing, and staging parts for shipping. Support cross-functional teams and remain available for overtime to meet project deadlines. Requires minimum five years of experience operating laser equipment, OSHA safety training, and valid forklift certification.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience operating and maintaining laser equipment in a production setting
- OSHA safety training
- Valid forklift experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Comfortable using precision measuring tools
- Applying math skills related to decimals, fractions, and tolerances
- Physically able to lift up to 55 lbs repeatedly
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
