Job Summary
Operate an Amada Laser – 4i Control CNC laser to form and cut parts, following safety procedures and engineering blueprints. Adjust machine settings to correct errors, inspect pieces for conformance, test finished products for defects, maintain tooling, and keep a clean, safe work area. Cross-train to learn additional machines and grow skills while emphasizing quality and continuous improvement. Requires dependable performance, strong attention to detail, ability to problem-solve, and effective communication with teammates, customers, and supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED strongly preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, shop floor documentation, customer specifications/diagrams, and instructions from supervisors/managers
- No experience required, but successful candidates must have the mechanical aptitude to manufacture high-quality parts
- MUST BE DEPENDABLE
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact and collaborate with a wide variety of internal personnel
- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
- Ability to interact professionally, appropriately, and courteously with customers, co-workers, and other outside parties
- Excellent attention to detail
- Must show concern for quality and practice continuous improvement
