Job Summary
Operate and maintain flatbed laser cutting machines to cut steel and other metals in accordance with production specifications. Set up equipment, program cutting programs using Lantek and AutoCAD, interpret work orders and blueprints, and monitor operations to meet safety and quality standards. Perform test runs, adjust laser settings, inspect materials for defects, perform routine maintenance and minor repairs, ensure output adheres to design specifications, measure finished parts, and assist with other duties to support production and team goals. Emphasizes strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED/CAEC) required
- Technical or vocational training preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Prior experience operating laser cutting machinery in a manufacturing or fabrication setting required
