Job Summary
Operate laser machine to cut parts from raw steel. Check parts to blueprints using calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, fabervision, and CMM to validate parts to prints. Perform laser startup and PM’s of machine. Operate overhead crane. Check first and last pieces for quality and ensure parts are free from blemishes. Make adjustments such as laser offsets and alignment. Stock parts in a safe and orderly manner. Clean machine during and before end of shift. Make sure all tools are returned to shadow board. Adhere to all safety guidelines and requirements. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in a related role preferred
- Previous experience leading employees required
- Able to make fast, accurate decisions relating to the production process and equipment
- Quality standards must be strictly adhered to, so attention to detail is extremely important
- Basic understanding of blueprints required
