Job Summary
As a Laser Applications Engineer II, you will develop, demonstrate, and optimize laser processing applications for medical device manufacturing. Responsibilities include generating CNC motion programs using customer files, managing equipment in the Laser Applications Lab, conducting machine installations, and providing customer training and technical support. Qualified candidates should have over 5 years of experience with multi-axis CNC machines, a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, and familiarity with laser processing technologies.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience programming and operating multi-axis CNC machines
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM tools (CAGILA preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills and customer-service orientation
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with multi-axis CNC machines
- Experience in medical component/device manufacturing
- Exposure to laser processing technologies (cutting, welding, ablation, marking)
