Job Summary
Ring customer purchases and returns, count change accurately, and uphold merchandising standards on the sales floor. Maintain a clean, organized store environment while supporting store recovery efforts and participating in shrink reduction programs. Model customer experience principles with internal and external customers, ensuring a risk-free environment through safety awareness. Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures while balancing multiple tasks and responding to unexpected situations. Work flexible evening and weekend hours in loud, busy environments with temperatures ranging from hot to cold. Lift up to 35 lbs occasionally and 10 lbs frequently.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience as a retail cashier
- Possesses excellent customer service skills
- Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs
- Possesses strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Capable of balancing multiple tasks at one time
- Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
- Possesses strong communication skills
- Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
- Works effectively with peers and supervisors to accomplish tasks
- Visual Acuity – Having close visual acuity to perform activities such as: viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small parts/details
- Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
- Must work in drastic temperature climates
- Must be willing to work during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
- Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time
- Lifting and exerting up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly to move objects to and from, including overhead lifting
