Job Summary
Conduct thorough coverage investigations on escalated claims files involving complex contents damage, utilizing advanced video technology to collaborate with onsite vendors and write estimates. Negotiate claim settlements with customers, vendors, and third-party carriers while coordinating with structure and ALE adjusters to ensure holistic claim handling. Communicate empathetically with policyholders through phone, email, and video chat to guide them through the claims process, and use data analytics to influence decision-making. Execute policies in accordance with standard methodologies, maintain accurate documentation in the claims system, and obtain required adjuster or appraiser licenses within 60 days of hire. This role includes rotational weekend duty and requires residency in the Cincinnati/Dayton area.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel as part of the job requirements
- Residency within the posted location is mandatory
- Adjuster and/or appraiser license (if required by office/area)
- Background investigation submission
- Active insurance license holders must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding
- Applicants with resident producer licenses must formally surrender that license when instructed
Desired Qualifications
- Reside in Cincinnati/Dayton, OH area
- 3+ years of previous experience handling property insurance claims
- Prior experience using estimating software like Xactimate for complex contents estimating
