Coach individual participants in a specific sport using appropriate strategies to improve athlete skill and activity standards. Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times, establishing written penalties for breaches while transmitting values of control and dedication by example. Plan and schedule a regular practice program, work with the activities director on contest scheduling, and recommend equipment, supplies, and uniforms. Oversee safety conditions during student presence, enforce eligibility criteria for interscholastic competition, and arrange transportation as needed. Maintain attendance forms, insurance records, and end-of-year reports. Ensure each student achieves high skill levels, an appreciation for discipline and sportsmanship, and increased self-esteem.
