Large Format Cut Operator

Job Summary
Read and understand job tickets to ensure production meets specifications, then perform quality checks according to established procedures. Monitor machine efficiencies and speed to maintain production standards, making appropriate adjustments as needed. Operate a digital cutting table (Zund, Kongsberg, or Gerber) while ensuring the safety and cleanliness of equipment and the work area. This role requires the ability to work independently, multi-task effectively, and handle projects under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and work overtime or weekends when required. Direct Edge Media is a growing printing company specializing in digital, offset, and large format production for enterprise and trade clients.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to set up and operate a digital cutting table such as Zund, Kongsberg or Gerber
- Working knowledge of digital, offset, and large format printing processes
- A strong attention to detail and focus on quality
- Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
- Able to multi task well, remain organized, and handle many projects at one time
- Hard-working, assertive, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Mechanically inclined and production oriented
- Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization
- Ability to react quickly and make continuous adjustments to provide top quality products
- Must be able to read a tape measure and basic computer skills
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds
- Ability to work overtime and weekends when needed
- Minimum of one years of digital cutting or printing industry experience
- High School Diploma
