Large Container Driver

Conduct complete pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle to verify tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls. Safely operate the heavy truck along the designated route, reading route sheets, following maps, and servicing each customer as identified. Perform manual and/or automatic controls to lift and load refuse, operate the compactor, and dispose of collected material at the designated facility. Identify unsatisfactory waste containers, tag them per departmental procedures, and clean areas around accidental spills while monitoring the condition of the vehicle to minimize downtime. Complete required route/productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports, and other daily reports. Maintain adherence to productivity standards, safety policies, and the ReSOP program while interacting courteously with customers, dispatchers, and co-workers.
