Job Summary
Lead the Large & Production Animal Service at Gatton Campus, overseeing a diverse clinical caseload across hospital and ambulatory settings, including after-hours and on-call duties. Drive teaching, mentoring, and supervision of students, interns, and residents; foster a positive, collaborative, high-performing team culture; engage with clients and stakeholders to deliver relationship-centred veterinary care; contribute to governance, service improvement, and educational objectives within a world-class teaching and research environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) with eligibility for veterinary registration in Queensland
- ANZCVS Membership (or equivalent) or at least four years’ experience in general practice, large animal medicine
- Demonstrated leadership experience in clinical team coordination, performance development, mentoring, and service improvement
- Strong relationship-centred approach to veterinary care, with the ability to build trusted partnerships with clients and colleagues
- Commitment to excellence in veterinary education, with the ability to mentor students, interns, and junior veterinarians
- Proven ability to manage complex clinical and operational priorities and contribute to continuous improvement
