Job Summary
Supervise students in the classroom during teacher absences by taking attendance, monitoring behavior, tracking assignments, and reviewing daily records. Provide guidance on completing teacher-assigned work and manage the classroom environment while implementing lesson plans designed to enforce full course objectives. Evaluate individual student knowledge, maintain educational supplies, and follow policy during critical incidents to prevent injury or property damage. Collaborate with other departments and the multidisciplinary treatment team to enhance the learning environment, develop accurate compliance reports, and promote positive relationships with students and staff. Report directly to the School Principal with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to implement daily and weekly teacher lesson plans designed to enforce full course objectives in the absence of an educator.
- Ability to create and provide a positive learning environment conducive to and supportive of individual growth and development of students.
- Ability to maintain and control educational department supplies, equipment, and tools.
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a teamwork environment.
- Ability to accept supervision and constructive feedback.
- Ability to test negative on all drug tests.
- Attending and successfully completing all required training and certifications.
