Job Summary
Language Lecturer (German) at Constructor University Bremen (Teilzeit, 19.25 hours/week, two-year contract with possible extension) responsible for delivering six German as a Foreign Language courses for Pre-Degree programs (A1 level), preparing and reviewing instructional content, correcting final exams, contributing to item pools for exams, curriculum development, and serving as a point of contact for students. Requires relevant university degree and demonstrated foreign-language didactics expertise, several years of adult education and exam coordination experience, openness to innovative teaching approaches and technologies, solid digital tool proficiency (e.g., Learning Management Systems), and very good English skills; native German is advantageous. The role is located in Bremen, Germany, with on-site work and potential for mobile/remote work components as offered by the university.
Required Qualifications
- Einschlägiger Hochschulabschluss
- Nachweis fremdsprachendidaktischer Kenntnisse und/oder Zusatzqualifikation für Deutsch als Fremdsprache
- Mehrjährige Erfahrung im Bereich der Erwachsenenbildung und Prüfungsorganisation
- Innovatives Denken und Offenheit für neue Ansätze und Technologien in der Lehre
- Fundierte Kenntnisse von digitalen Anwendungen (z.B. Learning Management Systeme)
- Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
- Muttersprachliche Deutschkenntnisse von Vorteil
