Job Summary
Language-enabled cyber threat analyst providing language, analytic, and translation support in a US government intelligence program in Northern Virginia. Responsibilities include targeting and network analysis, processing large volumes of material, translating Chinese to English, producing translations and targeting reports, briefings, and cables, and applying IC guidelines. Requires active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, ILR Level 4 translating, a Bachelor of Science degree (or two additional years related experience), minimal CONUS/OCONUS travel, and 1 year all-source analysis experience (5-8 years preferred). Proficiency in translating from Chinese to English and in MS Office, IC tools, and terminology management databases is required.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- Score ILR Level 4 or higher in translating from the source language to English
- Bachelor of Science degree or two additional years related professional experience working on projects of similar scope
- Minimal CONUS/OCONUS travel possible on a case-by-case basis
- Minimum of 1-year all-source analysis experience with national intelligence agencies or DoD providing analytic support to aid in foreign threat assessments
- 5-8 years of experience is preferred
- Experience translating and gisting general and technical material from Chinese to English
- Possess a thorough understanding of Intelligence Community (IC) guidelines and directives
- Be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), IC tools and software applications, Computer-Assisted Translation, and Terminology Management Databases
