Job Summary
Engage in face-to-face language immersion activities and instruction with Master level fluent speakers. Complete language curriculum assignments within the Choctaw Language learning management system portal. Participate in department activities with staff and complete assigned instructional coursework. Perform other duties as directed by the Director of the School of Choctaw Language. This temporary 12-month role begins September 28th, 2026 and ends September 24th, 2027, with a starting pay of $20.00 per hour. Applicants must be Choctaw Tribal Members and submit a resume, cover letter, and three letters of recommendation by August 28th, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Choctaw Tribal Member Status
- Strong Verbal, Written, and Electronic Communication Skills
- The ability to learn how to read, speak, and teach the Choctaw language
Desired Qualifications
- Public Speaking Experience Preferred
