Job Summary
Assist teachers with instructional, clerical, student management, and daily life activities for special education students in special education or general classrooms. Work schedule follows the school year with shifts typically between 7:15am and 3:30pm. Benefits include Paid Holidays, PTO, life insurance, and pension eligibility for longer days. Requires a high school diploma or GED; preferred experience with students with special needs. Candidates should have strong tutorial, office, computer, and oral and written communication skills, be able to relate well to students, staff, and parents, and be willing to supervise students in community settings. Training provided by the Special Education Department is required.
