Job Summary
Enforce active loading curb management on upper and lower drives to ensure safe, efficient traffic flow for pedestrians and vehicles. Coordinate passenger traffic, report unattended baggage or suspicious situations to law enforcement, and direct traffic in congested or emergency areas while clearing space for first responders. Operate a two-way radio to transmit information on traffic, emergencies, and flight updates, and conduct roadway inspections for hazards, congestion, and signage issues. Communicate clearly with customers, employees, and contractors regarding traffic, parking, and complaints, while reporting incidents, safety hazards, and maintenance problems to appropriate departments. Maintain regular attendance and perform other duties assigned pertaining to airport safety and security.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or possession of a General Educational Development Certificate (GED)
- Possession of a valid Oklahoma Driver's License
- Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility to hold a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to understand and influence the behavior of customers or the public in order to achieve job objectives and cause action or understanding
- Must demonstrate ethics and integrity
- Open to new ideas and challenges
- Display drive and purpose
- Ability to communicate effectively in difficult situations
- Ability to write legibly
- Possess vision, speech, and hearing sufficient to perform essential tasks
- Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility to hold a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge
- Must be willing to work any shift including nights, weekends and holidays
- Subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing
Desired Qualifications
- Post-high school training, certification and experience in safety and security
- Customer relations experience
