Job Summary
Operate and maintain landscape equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and blowers, while removing debris and performing weed control across commercial facilities. Execute seasonal activities such as mulching and winter assignments, and provide snow removal services at multiple locations, which may require overtime and overnight stays. Work in environments exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes, and moderate to loud noise levels, lifting up to 80 pounds occasionally. Maintain effective communication with supervisors and clients while adhering to safety policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- 0-2 years of experience using landscape maintenance equipment
- Driver's License Required
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions including, but not limited to, safety policies and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision, the ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point
- Regularly required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance
- Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally required to lift more than 80 pounds
- Peripheral vision
- The ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point
- Regularly exposed to fumes, airborne particles, vibrations and outside weather conditions including winter and snow
- The noise level that is typical in this type of work environment is moderate to loud
- Perform snow removal services at multiple locations, if applicable. This may require overtime and overnight stays
