Job Summary
Lead a team of watershed management Service Technicians in maintaining and improving storm drainage systems to mitigate flooding and erosion. Identify and document stormwater drainage issues requiring repair, then operate and maintain company equipment including a pick-up truck and trailer. Complete maintenance and inspection reports while tracking crew expenses, and coordinate hotel arrangements for the team during overnight travel. Conduct brief but regular safety trainings and ensure all staff maintain valid DOT medical certificates and current driver's licenses. This safety-sensitive role requires driving as an essential function and involves traveling 4-5 days per week in all weather conditions. Candidates with three or more years of verifiable experience in comparable roles may qualify for an enhanced starting wage.
Required Qualifications
- Possess an analytical approach to stormwater drainage management
- Proficient with mobile technology (i.e. iPads, Laptops, Email, etc.)
- The ASDM must be willing to travel and be away from home 4-5 days per week
- Able to perform duties in all types of weather conditions in order to monitor effectiveness of SCMs
- Maintain a valid Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Examiner's Certificate in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Maintain a current and valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicles operated
- Remain insurable under the Company's automobile insurance policy
- Immediately notify Human Resources if your license, medical certification, or insurability status changes, is restricted, suspended, or revoked
