Job Summary
Landscape spray technician for the City of Temple responsible for chemical and fertilizer applications across parks, rural roadsides, and other City properties; operates, maintains, and cleans application equipment, creates and maintains records of chemical applications, follows state guidelines for storage and handling, and keeps licenses current; supports city/private events and assists with staging, setup, and takedown; requires current or ability to obtain Texas non-commercial applicator license, valid driver’s license, and CDL preferred; adheres to safety policies and ongoing education requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of chemical and fertilizer applications to landscape areas
- Valid Texas Department of Agriculture non-commercial applicators license or ability to obtain license within six months of employment
- Valid driver’s license
- CDL (preferred)
- Two (2) years of experience with chemical and/or fertilizer applications including equipment calibration and use (preferred)
