Job Summary
This is a hands-on leadership role leading a small crew on erosion-control installation at active construction sites. Lead and train one to two crewmembers, perform physical labor, operate equipment such as a Ditch Witch SK900 mini skid steer/trencher and a cab-over truck, install and maintain BMPs including silt fence, ensure Florida stormwater (NPDES) compliance, coordinate with site superintendents, maintain safety standards, and manage materials/inventory from the job trailer. The position offers year-round full-time work with overtime potential, a schedule typically 7:00 AM–4:00 PM (Mon–Fri) with some Saturdays, and benefits including PTO, holidays, health insurance, and a 401(k) matching program.
Required Qualifications
- Experience leading landscape, install, irrigation, or hardscape crews
- Comfortable on active construction sites and operating equipment (skid steer a plus)
- Valid Driver’s License: Required, with a clean driving record
- Bilingual (English/Spanish): A strong plus for leading and communicating with field crews
- A CDL is a strong plus
