Job Summary
Prune trees and shrubs, deadhead flowers, trim hedges, and fertilize plants using a horticultural perspective. Diagnose disease and pest problems, offering appropriate solutions while practicing Integrated Pest Management with organic pesticides and fertilizers. Operate battery-powered equipment including hedge trimmers, string trimmers, chain saws, and blowers, and perform minor irrigation repairs and controller programming. Maintain accurate records of time and completed work. Work 8 hours daily from 8:30am to 5:00pm, two days per week on Thursdays and Fridays. Earthscapes, a Central Coast company serving clients for over 35 years, trains candidates to join the team.
Required Qualifications
- Must have plant and horticultural knowledge
- Minimum 3 years landscape maintenance experience
- Valid drivers license
- Clean DMV record
- The ability to read, write and speak English
- Must be able to work an 8 hour per day schedule from 8:30am – 5:00pm, 2 days per week Thursday and Friday
