Job Summary
The Landscape Leadsman oversees landscape and irrigation installation and maintenance tasks, directing a crew of 2–4 to perform planting, sod installation, sprinkler setup, and related duties. Responsibilities include operating hand and power tools, conducting safety checks, leading weekly tailgate meetings, enforcing OSHA standards and safety protocols, reviewing potential hazards, maintaining hazardous communication documentation, reporting accidents per policy, and ensuring projects are completed on time with quality and safety. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors in extreme conditions, and possess or obtain a valid driver’s license; bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Compensation ranges from $26.00 to $28.00 per hour with full-time benefits including health, dental, vision, 401k, holidays, vacation/sick leave, tuition reimbursement, and potential bonus opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in landscape/irrigation installation and maintenance
- Knowledge of OSHA Standards
- Ability to lead and direct a crew of 2 to 4 people
- Able to operate landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, edgers) and use hand/power tools
- Ability to lift and carry tools, equipment, and materials weighing up to 50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company motor vehicle record standards
- Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and flexible hours including weekends/holidays
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Safety-focused with ability to supervise and enforce safety standards
