Job Summary
Lead a crew of 2-4 to plan, direct, and schedule landscaping and routine maintenance of stormwater infrastructure (retention ponds, detention basins, drainage ditches, stormwater grates, and related assets). Enforce safety regulations, perform mowing and debris removal, light construction and repairs, operate landscaping and light construction equipment, and maintain the equipment trailer. Prepare field reports using Apex proprietary systems and travel locally/regionally (approximately 10 days per month) via company truck. Offers include overtime opportunities, per diem on travel days, and long-term growth through benefits and development programs. The role emphasizes protecting water quality and maintaining client properties on commercial sites.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4+ years of experience with manual labor or outdoor work
- Solid understanding of landscaping equipment and materials preferred
- Willingness to travel locally and regionally (typical 10 days per month)
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record
- Background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening required
- Able to perform physical tasks (bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting) and work in various weather conditions
- Must meet minimum age of 21 years due to DOT interstate requirements
