Job Summary
Plan, direct, and schedule landscaping, routine maintenance, and light repairs of stormwater infrastructure including retention ponds, detention basins, drainage ditches, and stormwater grates for commercial properties. Lead a crew of 2-4 members, enforce safety regulations, and perform mowing, weed-trimming, debris removal, ground maintenance, and light construction repairs. Operate landscaping and light construction equipment while maintaining the equipment trailer. Travel from the shop location via company truck to client sites locally and regionally, typically covering 15 days per month. Prepare reports and document work in the field using Apex proprietary systems.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4+ years of experience with manual labor
- Solid understanding of landscaping equipment and materials
- Willingness to travel locally and regionally
- 15 days of travel per month
- Minimum requirement of 21 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- Safe driving record
- Reliable method of transportation
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle record check
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Ability to perform various physical tasks (i.e., bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, etc.)
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in construction
