Job Summary
Mow, edge, trim, and weed control lawns across multiple St. Matthew's House properties in Southwest Florida. Plant, water, fertilize, and maintain flowers, shrubs, trees, and landscape features while operating mowers, trimmers, edgers, and blowers. Remove debris, litter, and hazards from grounds; support irrigation inspections and watering schedules. Load and unload landscaping materials and report maintenance concerns to the Landscape Foreman. Follow safety policies and work collaboratively with facilities personnel. Travel between locations is required, and a valid Florida driver's license is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varied weather conditions
- Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment and tools
- Basic knowledge of lawn care, planting, pruning, and general grounds maintenance
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Valid Florida driver's license preferred and insurable under the organization's vehicle insurance policy
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and heavier loads with assistance
- Manual dexterity is sufficient to operate landscaping equipment and hand tools safely
- Travel is required in this role
- Must be able to become a registered St. Matthew's House Driver
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, lawn maintenance, or related field preferred
- Experience working with irrigation systems preferred
