Job Summary
As a Landscape Architect/Urban Designer at Hawkins Partners, you will lead and contribute to the design of urban landscape projects from concept through construction documentation, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams. Responsibilities include developing and refining design concepts, preparing technical drawings and specifications, performing construction administration duties, and mentoring staff. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Design, 5-7 years of relevant experience, proficiency in AutoCAD or Vectorworks, and skills in digital 3D modeling. Experience in sustainable design practices and strong communication skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Design from an accredited program
- 5-7 years of professional experience in landscape architecture or urban design, with a focus on urban projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Vectorworks (within three months) and Adobe Creative Suite
- Adept at developing digital 3D landscape architectural models (Within Rhino or Revit is preferred), including developing final renderings in Lumion or Enscape
- Knowledge of construction detailing, grading, planting design, and sustainable design practices
- Excellent graphic communication skills including strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in using Revit to develop construction documentation
- Experience working with the application of AI platforms to landscape architecture
- Experience in computational analysis for data-informed decision making
- Ability to use Grasshopper within Rhino to develop design concepts and improve workflow
- Experience with or interest in community engagement and participatory design processes
