Job Summary

Prepare planning documents and detailed site feasibility studies for large-scale mixed-use, commercial, and public space developments. Develop landscape architectural designs for monumental entrances, streetscapes, and park components while drafting construction documentation for permit packages in Baltimore City and Maryland counties. Actively participate in client meetings, stakeholder engagements, and governing body discussions to deliver technical reports and memos. Support project management by overseeing scheduling, budgets, and deliverables while collaborating with practice leadership to guide production teams and shape long-term departmental vision. Stay current with design trends through industry association participation and learning sessions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in landscape architecture from an accredited university
  • 5-8 years of experience in planning and landscape architectural design
  • Familiarity with local jurisdictional requirements from comprehensive plans, to zoning codes, to detailed subdivision, landscape, and signage regulations/guidelines, including the ability to help craft modifications to these documents
  • Excellent written, graphic, diagrammatic and oral presentation communication skills
  • Fluency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D, Land F/X), MS Office Suite, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), and 3D modeling software (Revit, SketchUp, or Rhino)
  • The ability to collect, organize, and present data in creative ways to team members and clients
  • Experience in private sector projects
  • Experience in environmental documentation related to Forest Conservation Act and the ability to perform field assessments, data collection, and site analysis outdoors which includes travel and the potential to be on your feet for hours

  • Licensed Professional Landscape Architect
