Job Summary
Directs and monitors a segment of a landscape architecture project, assists in directing the project’s progress, develops graphics and written materials, coordinates multiple design disciplines, reviews client requests for changes, prepares design drawings and specifications, and supports client presentations. Responsibilities include preparing schedules and cost estimates, coordinating with subcontractors to meet project goals, ensuring safety compliance, and traveling to job sites. Requires Bachelor’s in Landscape Architecture, AutoCAD proficiency, ability to read plans and codes, strong site/park/streetscape design skills, clear written and verbal communication, and a valid driver’s license. Travel to local sites with occasional overnight stays is expected. May perform duties associated with advancement to Landscape Architect IV.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture
- AutoCAD skills
- Ability to read and interpret ordinances, codes, plans and blueprints
- Strong site design, park design, streetscape design skills
- Strong written and interpersonal communications
- Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record
- Travel to job sites; primarily local travel; occasional overnight stay
