Job Summary
Operator position responsible for the safe operation of heavy equipment at a recycling center, landfill, or transfer station to transfer, spread, cover, load, and/or compact waste or soil. Responsibilities include pre- and post-operation equipment inspections, operating equipment such as forklift, excavator, bulldozer, and front-end loader to safety standards, monitoring waste for unacceptable material, maintaining equipment readiness, performing minor service, completing Equipment Condition Reports, and adhering to safety policies. Requires professional, courteous interaction with customers and coworkers, strong time management, adherence to company policies, and a commitment to safety and reliability. Required Qualifications
- Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation
- One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA
