Job Summary
Operate heavy equipment at a recycling center/landfill/transfer station with a focus on safe, efficient transfer, spreading, covering, loading and/or compacting waste or soil. Responsibilities include pre- and post-operation inspections, safe operation of equipment (e.g., forklift, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader), monitoring for unacceptable waste, maintaining equipment readiness, performing minor servicing, completing Equipment Condition Reports, and adhering to safety policies and company procedures. Requires professional customer service, time management, reliability, and adherence to policies. Required Qualifications
- Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation
- One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA
