Landfill Heavy Equipment Operator

Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of heavy equipment, including forklifts, excavators, bulldozers, and loaders, ensuring windows, lights, mirrors, and rear view cameras are clean. Safely operate equipment to transfer, spread, cover, load, and compact waste or soil while continuously monitoring materials for unacceptable waste and equipment condition. Perform and document minor service tasks, clean tracks or wheels as needed, and report mechanical issues to the Maintenance Shop. Complete Equipment Condition Reports and other required documentation, ensuring the shop is clean and stored at the end of each shift. Follow all safety policies and procedures to minimize downtime and maintain operational readiness.
