Job Summary
Safely operate, monitor, and perform maintenance on Landfill Gas Collection and Gas Treatment equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Responsibilities include diagnosing operational difficulties, performing repairs to the Leachate System and pneumatic pumps, monitoring the collection field, completing maintenance and documentation (logs, reports, and records), calibrating and logging monitoring equipment, coordinating repairs, ensuring safety compliance, and being on-call for system emergencies. Requires on-site work in Hopedale, IL, ability to work nights/weekends, and adherence to environmental and company safety policies. Familiarity with pneumatic/hydraulic pumping equipment and ability to follow manuals and repair procedures is needed. Training and orientation of new employees and ongoing skill development through technical seminars are encouraged.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to repair and maintain tools, equipment and machinery
- Knowledge, skills and abilities in operation and maintenance of pneumatic or hydraulic pumping equipment
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, work independently and maintain accurate records
- Ability to communicate effectively and operate vehicle or equipment necessary to perform job
