Job Summary
Operate heavy equipment in landfill/earth-moving operations, including front-end loaders, dozers, scrapers, compactors, excavators, water tankers, and other gear to process waste, build waste cells, and support dumping areas. Maintain and inspect equipment, coordinate with traffic spotters, perform post-operation logs, ensure safe work practices, and assist with road construction and dust control as needed. Requires 1+ years of heavy equipment experience and the ability to work outdoors; OSHA/compliance awareness and strong communication with teammates are essential.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) or more years of heavy equipment operation experience
- High school diploma or GED desired but not required
- Must be able to meet safety sensitive functions according to Company standards
- Ability to operate equipment and follow instructions
- Effective communication with internal and external customers
- Read, write, and comprehend reports to complete daily assignments
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions and comply with safety policies (OSHA)
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather
- Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located
