Job Summary
Monitor and administer land agreement obligations and payments, ensuring accurate recordkeeping and timely tracking of key dates, approvals, and compliance requirements. Record applicable documents in requisite county recorder and/or agency databases. Prepare exhibits, presentations, custom spreadsheets, and reports while interfacing with royalty holders to resolve division order interest inquiries. Schedule and organize department and partner meetings as needed. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. This role requires a Notary Public of State of California and a valid driver's license. Two years of experience supporting land functions in oil and gas, energy, real estate, legal, or regulatory environments is required, with a college degree in business administration, energy management, or land management desired. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Quorum Land and Upstream management software is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of experience performing work providing the necessary experience to successfully complete the essential duties of the position.
- Working knowledge of oil and gas land agreements and practices
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organization habits.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet/exceed deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Valid California driver's license with a driving record acceptable to the company's auto insurance carrier.
Desired Qualifications
- College degree with coursework in business administration, energy management, land management, or related field.
- Prior experience supporting land functions in oil and gas, energy, real estate, legal, or regulatory environment.
- Notary Public of State of California.
- Proficiency with Quorum Land and Upstream management software.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and county land records, leasing requirements, permitting processes, and recorder/agency filing procedures.
- Experience using GIS, ArcGIS, mapping software, or land-management systems to create or update maps and plats.
- Knowledge of public land survey systems, legal land descriptions, acreage calculations, and leasehold mapping concepts.
