Job Summary
Conduct topographical, boundary, and construction surveys using total stations, GPS equipment, and levels to establish control points and set out building positions for engineering and infrastructure projects. Measure precise distances, angles, and coordinates in the field, then prepare detailed survey drawings, site plans, and cross-sections using CAD software. Process and analyze survey data to ensure accuracy, maintain and calibrate instruments, and carry out quality assurance checks on all calculations. Liaise with project managers and contractors regarding survey requirements while producing accurate reports for client deliverables. Travel frequently across the UK, including nights and evenings, to various project sites.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years Land Surveying experience
- Excellent knowledge and experience of topographical and construction surveying techniques
- Experience working across a wide variety of environments and on complex surveys
- Ability to process and analyse survey data using industry-standard software
- Working knowledge/understanding of survey specifications and standards
- Ability and willingness to work flexibly
- A full UK manual driving licence
- CSCS Card
- Travel across the UK is very common. Candidates must be open to working away from home during the week and accommodate night or evening shifts as needed.
