Job Summary
Assist Professional Surveyors with CAD production, boundary analysis, research, legal description, easement preparation, deliverables review, and computations while adhering to state statutes. Work under the responsible charge of a Professional Land Surveyor to define project tasks, schedules, and resource requirements. Evaluate property boundaries in metes and bounds and public land survey states, coordinate with field crews and office staff, and perform QA/QC checks. Stay current on service-specific trends, technology, software, and hardware. Ensure division, regional, and company policies are consistently followed. Maintain the Surveyor in Training certification and display solid judgment, trust, and professionalism.
Required Qualifications
- Surveyor in Training certification
- Four-year degree
- 3-plus years of land survey field experience
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Independent judgment
- Civil 3D experience
- Ability to travel occasionally for courthouse research
- Capability of self-funding the total amount of expenses until reimbursement can be disbursed
Desired Qualifications
- Coordinating activities with office personnel, including surveying technicians and engineering staff
- Experience searching for/recovering Public Land Survey System monuments
- TBC experience
