Job Summary
Coordinate with the Survey Chief to ensure the job scope is fully comprehended and all day-to-day operations are understood by the survey crew. Establish work plans to complete tasks timely, review job maps, and set up each job using appropriate survey equipment. Locate and establish site control, take detailed notes and sketches of level runs, and download field data to the Share file daily. Work a 4-10 schedule Monday through Thursday with overtime as needed. Motivate and manage Chainmen while explaining project scope clearly to the public.
Required Qualifications
- complete understanding of the principles of Surveying
- Ability to read and understand plans, Assessor maps, Tract maps, Parcel maps, Record of Survey and field inventory maps
- proficiency with the equipment provided by the company
- ability to communicate well with the public, and clearly explain the scope of your project
- ability to motivate, manage and further the knowledge and skills of your Chainmen
- basic algebra and trigonometry training required for field calculations
- good organizational, planning and communications skills
- Work a 4‐10 schedule, Monday‐Thursday, OT when needed
