Job Summary
Lead surveying crew and provide technical support for surveying operations. Perform field layout for construction and gather data for ALTAs, boundary surveys, and design surveys. Utilize Trimble GPS, robotic total stations, and differential leveling equipment; interpret and apply construction plans accurately. Maintain safety, quality, and equipment maintenance compliance; foster strong client relationships and collaborate with coworkers and contractors. Physically navigate varied construction sites, carry survey gear, and travel as required (3-4 weeks minimum with associated duties). Preferred Associate degree in Surveying or Engineering Technology with experience in land development and coordination of technicians and engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving history
- OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Proven leadership skills in managing and mentoring a survey crew
- Proficient in operating total stations and GPS in static and RTK modes
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a capacity to work independently
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in Land Development (Commercial and Residential) and Public Infrastructure projects (preferred)
