Job Summary
Deliver surveying services to internal and external clients while leading and mentoring a field crew. Utilize total stations and GPS (static and RTK) to perform surveying tasks across remote construction sites and land development projects. Coordinate activities with surveying technicians and engineering staff, recover Public Land Survey System monuments, and manage field operations with a focus on safety and efficiency. This contract-to-hire role requires travel of 2-4 weeks at a time, averaging 75-85 hours per week, and relies on a valid driver’s license and OSHA 10/CPR-First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain). Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related office software is expected, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Proven leadership skills in managing and mentoring a survey crew
- Proficient in operating total stations and GPS in static and RTK modes for various surveying tasks
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a capacity to work independently
- Basic proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office Suite)
