Job Summary
Manage Idaho Power's real estate properties and interests with minimal oversight, acting as a liaison between internal teams, external stakeholders, and governmental agencies. Represent the company in negotiations for purchase, exchange, sale, or lease of real estate while providing expertise on entitlements, easements, land use authorizations, and right of way agreements. Coordinate with agencies to ensure timely execution of work and seek the best financial impact, utilizing skills in public relations, negotiation, and conflict resolution. Conduct independent decision-making and recommend solutions regarding property holdings and legal documents. Requires a Bachelor's degree in real estate or related field with five years of real estate experience, including complex negotiation and acquisition work. Annual salary ranges from $104,041.60 to $125,320.00. Located in Boise, Idaho.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in real estate, business, planning, or a related field
- 5 years of real estate experience
- 2 years of complex negotiation and acquisition work
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record based on driving requirements for the position
- Knowledge of property descriptions and land surveys
- Knowledge of appraisals
- Knowledge of property ownership and conveyance
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations associated with real estate transactions
- General application of GIS, GPS, and public land survey system
- Skills in oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Advanced computer skills
- Ability to conduct public relations and negotiation
- Ability to manage projects
- Ability to resolve conflicts
- Ability to interpret legal documents
- Ability to communicate effectively with varied audiences
- Ability to troubleshoot and recommend solutions
- Ability to provide accurate information to help individuals make informed decisions
- Ability to demonstrate professional presence with all levels of company and external entities
- Ability to work at a desk/computer for extended periods of time
- Ability to use office equipment
- Ability to use fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people
- Ability to occasionally lift no more than 10 lbs
- Ability to occasionally hike and or walk in varied terrain
- Ability to occasionally drive for long distances with occasional overnights
- Ability to work under broad direction and make independent decisions or recommendations with minimal input from manager
Desired Qualifications
- 1 or more years of experience with commercial real estate transactions
- 1 or more years of experience working in a corporate work environment
- 1 or more years of experience with canals, railroads, and tribal issues
- 1 or more years of experience with electric utility infrastructure projects or land use authorizations
- SR/WA certification
- Real estate broker license
- Real estate salesperson license
- Certified general appraiser license
