Job Summary
Grounds Maintenance Technician to support Defence estates in Yallambie, performing mowing, edging, operating mowers and tools, planned and reactive maintenance, safety/compliance, and reporting tasks. Role involves outdoor work, use of maintenance equipment (mowers, whipper snippers), and participation in toolbox talks and pre-starts. Licences/tickets training provided; herbicide certification advantages; chainsaw licence desirable. Australian Citizenship and Defence clearance required; AFP checks and medical pre-employment checks as stipulated.
Required Qualifications
- Australian Citizenship
- Defence clearance (must be obtainable)
- Australian Federal Police Check
- Medical Pre-Employment Checks as stipulated by the contract
- Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping or similar roles
- Chemical (herbicide) certification advantages
- Chainsaw licence desirable but not mandatory
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
